Principal’s Message

May 15, 2026

Dear Whiton Families,

At this time of year, many of our students have the opportunity to participate in field trips as part of their educational experience. Field trips are an important extension of classroom learning, providing students with meaningful hands-on experiences that help bring lessons to life.

Whether visiting the zoo, nature centers, farms, the ballpark for STEM events, or community organizations, students are able to explore new environments, strengthen social skills, and deepen their understanding through real-world connections. These experiences also help students build independence, responsibility, teamwork, and lasting memories with their classmates.

We appreciate your continued support in helping make these opportunities possible for our students and look forward to the exciting experiences ahead. We also thank you for staying up to date with school communications so that your student does not miss any of these exciting opportunities and events.

This is a reminder that next week students will have a full day of school on Thursday and a single-session day on Friday in observance of Memorial Day weekend.

Sincerely,

Reminder- Families of Incoming Kindergarten Students: We are excited to welcome you! To make sure your student has a spot, please let us know as soon as possible by starting the registration process.

If you—or someone you know—has a student entering kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year, early registration is important. It ensures your student can participate in our Kindergarten Kickoff in May and helps us plan for the right number of classes to provide the best possible experience.

You do not need to have all your medical paperwork ready to begin. Starting the registration now secures your student’s place and allows us to plan effectively for the year ahead.

Don’t wait—register today!
