Principal’s Message

May 1, 2026

Dear Whiton Families,

As we welcome the month of May, we are entering an important and exciting stretch of the school year filled with meaningful learning, engaging activities, opportunities for growth, and, of course, some fun along the way.

Consistent attendance and daily routines play a key role in helping students stay engaged, build strong habits, and continue making academic progress. Being present and on time each day allows students to fully participate in instruction and stay connected with their classmates and teachers.

We understand this time of year can be especially busy for families, and we appreciate your continued support in ensuring students attend school regularly and arrive ready to learn. Maintaining consistent routines at home can make a meaningful difference in setting students up for success each day.

This week, we held our monthly Hoot & Holler, where our teachers “shook it off” while students cheered them on. We believe it’s important for students to see the adults in their school community having fun and enjoying these shared moments together.

KINDERGARTEN 2026-2027
Reminder- Families of Incoming Kindergarten Students: We’re excited to welcome you! To make sure your student has a spot, please let us know as soon as possible by starting the registration process.

If you—or someone you know—has a student entering kindergarten for the 2026–2027 school year, early registration is important. It ensures your student can participate in our Kindergarten Kickoff in May and helps us plan for the right number of classes to provide the best possible experience.

You don’t need to have all your medical paperwork ready to begin. Starting the registration now secures your student’s place and allows us to plan effectively for the year ahead.

Don’t wait—register today!

The Whiton library is welcoming volunteers. This is a great opportunity to help with shelving books, assisting students with book checkouts, and guiding students in finding books on the shelves. Because initial training is needed, Ms. Gale is looking for anyone who is able to volunteer on a regular or semi-regular basis -  Here is the sign up.  Any questions, please email Ms. Gale - sgale@branchburg.k12.nj.us
