Principal’s Message

April 10, 2026

Dear Whiton Families,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful and restful spring break. As we welcome students back to school, we are focused on helping everyone make a smooth and positive transition back into their daily routines.

Returning from a break can be an adjustment for some students, and we encourage families to support this transition by re-establishing consistent routines at home, including regular bedtimes, morning schedules, and time for homework and reading. These structures help students feel confident, prepared, and ready to learn each day.

We also want to share that the BEF Read-a-Thon has officially concluded. We are so proud of our students’ enthusiasm and participation! While the event has ended, we encourage all students to continue reading each day. Daily reading not only strengthens literacy skills, but also fosters imagination, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to a strong and successful remainder of the school year.

Sincerely,

Dee Shober signature in blue

Because initial training is needed, Ms. Gale is looking for anyone who is able to volunteer on a regular or semi-regular basis -  Here is the sign up.  Any questions, please email Ms. Gale - sgale@branchburg.k12.nj.us
