Principal’s Message

November 14, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a busy time of year, and we want to ensure your voice is heard. If you haven’t already done so, please take a moment to submit your nominations for Teacher of the Year and Educational Services Professional of the Year.  Nominations are due today and can be submitted using this link (it's not too late) - Whiton.

Next Tuesday is the Community Forum, which is an important opportunity to share your perspective as the district begins its search for our next superintendent. If you are able to attend, please see the information provided below.

Our PTO continues to support our school community in many ways. One way to get involved is by participating in the PTO Dine Out event happening tonight—details are included below. If you would like to help support the PTO Thanksgiving Thoughtfulness, please see the flyer below.

Please remember to check your student’s meal balance each week. Now that we’ve been in school for a while and many students are purchasing breakfast and/or lunch, this may be a good time to add funds to your student’s account.

All parents and guardians must present an ID for afternoon pick-up, whether picking up in the office or from the gym. If a family member will be picking up your student, please be sure to let them know that they will need to bring their ID as well.  Please also be mindful that parking for pick up does not open until 3:35.

Sincerely,

Dee Shober signature in blue

library booksLIBRARY VOLUNTEERS
The Whiton library will be opening to volunteers beginning Nov. 10. This is a great opportunity to help with shelving books, assisting students with book checkouts, and guiding students in finding books on the shelves. Because initial training is needed, Ms. Gale is looking for anyone who is able to volunteer on a regular or semi-regular basis. Any questions, please email Ms. Gale - sgale@branchburg.k12.nj.us.  Here is the sign up.
