Principal’s Message

November 7, 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you to everyone who attended our conferences this week! The partnership between home and school is so important, and it was wonderful to see so many of you connecting with teachers to support your student’s learning.

Our second graders’ collection for HOME of Somerset County was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who donated. Here are the final totals:
  • 282 bathroom products
  • 16 kitchen items
  • 52 baby items
  • 20 medicines
  • 45 personal care items
  • 60 cleaning products
Your generosity will make a real difference for our community!

📸 Picture Retake Day – Thursday, November 13

If your student will be getting a picture retake or was absent on picture day, please review the information below:
1. Students absent on picture day or newly enrolled after picture day:
Use the pre-pay code provided in the new email blast to place your order. This code is valid only for absentees or new enrollments.
2. Students needing a retake and who did not previously order pictures:
Families can currently view their student’s original photo online. After retake day has been processed and the new image replaces the original, you’ll be able to order using the personal web passcode on the Last Chance to Order card, which will be sent home with picture packages.
3. Students needing a retake and who already placed an order:
Please have your student bring their complete original picture package and give it to the photographer on retake day. We ask that you write any specific concerns on the front of the envelope. Once the new image is processed, you will receive a replacement package at no additional cost.bnl FLYER

The Whiton library will be opening to volunteers beginning Nov. 10. This is a great opportunity to help with shelving books, assisting students with book checkouts, and guiding students in finding books on the shelves. Because initial training is needed, Ms. Gale is looking for anyone who is able to volunteer on a regular or semi-regular basis. Any questions, please email Ms. Gale - sgale@branchburg.k12.nj.us.  Here is the sign up.

A stack of colorful books topped with a bright red apple.TEACHER OF THE YEAR/EDUCATIONAL SERVICES PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR

Each year, the New Jersey Department of Education honors outstanding educators through the Governor’s Educator of the Year Program. This prestigious recognition celebrates the dedication, innovation, and impact of the teachers and educational specialists who make a difference in the lives of our students every day.

We are proud to have so many incredible staff members who go above and beyond for our students—providing engaging instruction, creating supportive classroom environments, and nurturing social, emotional, and academic growth. Now is our opportunity to shine a light on their hard work and commitment!

We invite parents, guardians, students, and staff to participate by submitting a nomination for a deserving teacher or educational services professional. Your nominations help us recognize those who embody the spirit of our school community and who inspire excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Taking a few minutes to complete the nomination form is a meaningful way to say thank you and to ensure our school’s exceptional educators receive the recognition they deserve.

Nominations are due by November 14.
